I don't see any category for cathedral windows.

lfstamper 08-21-2012 09:30 AM

This is wonderful! Thank you.

With the old QB we used to be able to save a thread in our profile (which I think was called Bookmarking). Is there a way to do this on this new QB? I would appreciate help.

Just discovered this gallery this morning. Thank you for your hard work. These things take time to create. :)

emc1118 08-30-2012 03:31 PM

Click on thread tools, (about a third of the way down the page, below the page numbers). subscribe to this thread, choose the way you want to be notified of posts, what folder (if you have more than one) and save.
If you click on settings (along the top of the page) all your subscribed threads will show if any new post was made.

Hope I didn't confuse you! Let me know if you have any other questions.

What a great list! Thank you! :)

GramMER 10-28-2012 08:33 AM

In the past I have seen several quilts using "Hunter's Star" patterns in one variation and another. Why are those not in a category together so we can get the "feel" of that color choices we want to use?

Ask, and ye shall receive ... well, at least in this case! I've added a new album for you: click here

Good suggestion. I'm working on one of these myself right now!

There is now an album for scrappy quilts : click here

It's lovely!! That gravel fabric is fantastic, too. What a great job you have done here!!!

What a lovely underwater scene you did. Great job!

Cat-On-A Mac ... here's a suggestion for yet another Gallery ... Carpenter's Star!

(merely because I was just looking for some for inspiration and came here first!)

Thank you!

I sure appreciate the work you have done, to have the Gallery as a go-to when I am looking for inspiration!! :)
Bless You for doing this!! :)

P.S. ... perhaps you can get PatriceJ to edit the first post, so it can be included with the Master List?
Thanks again!!!

Go back to the first post of this thread and there are two links that will take you to the Galleries!

The first quote didn't come through. I'm in the market for a PM on how to bookmark a page in VERY simple step by step terms. I'm quite computer challenged, but am willing to try to learn.

Pat of Abington 01-04-2013 09:13 AM

Please send me that info also. I see so many quilts that I would like to try.

J Yates 01-11-2013 07:17 PM

there should be the word Bookmarks at the top left of your screen when you're on the internet. Click on that. go down to "bookmark this page" and click on it. It will bring up a little screen telling what the page is and I think you click something there...(done?) You'll get it when you get there. Then to go to the bookmarked page click on Bookmarks and it will have a list. Hope this helps

Ella Demchuk 03-05-2013 10:38 PM

Sometimes you need to do a quilt with a nice panel, and it gets really difficult to picture how to set these 1-2-4-5-etc. pieces together. It would be very nice to find an inspiration rummaging through quilts here - done by other members of the board. Would you consider adding one more topic “Panels”?

cat-on-a-mac 03-06-2013 04:58 PM

Ella -- good suggestion! I'll work on it ...

AliKat 04-11-2013 07:51 PM

I like the new gallery. Just looked at it. Am looking forward to it expanding to other categories to include [1] designs and [2] colors in the quilts, ie: 2 color, 3 color, up to 4 color quilts.

Thanks for all t he hard work organizing it.

Wish you had a Curved Quilts category also.

Thank you for this gallery. I have been trying to find just the right pattern for our king sized bed, and I think I've found the perfect pattern!

Hi. Have you considered an album for applique quilts?

I have resisted this in the past, since there are so many, and they're not really quilt "designs", which was my initial goal with this gallery. But, hey, if it will be useful to folks, why not? Keep watching ....

Thanks,
Cathy

I too would like to know how to bookmark, and more. When you send a PM (not sure what a PM is?) where are you sending it? I was not sure if I was to click on Reply or Blog? Thank You for helping and sharing. MaryAnn

PM is private message. You can send a message to any other member to communicate directly with them. No other members see the messages. I'd suggest you read through the basics of using the site by clicking on "Help" at the top of this page.

lildinks2013 08-07-2013 06:56 PM

If you are using google chrome, then in the upper right hand corner at the end of your search bar, there are 3 horizontal lines. click on that, and a menu should pull down. Look for where it says bookmarks. Put your cursor on there and another box will show up. In there it will say bookmark this page. Click on that then again in the upper right hand corner another lil box will show up and there you click on " done." thats it. your finished. When you want to pull up the page you bookmarked it will show up again by clicking on the 3 lines again. The title of the page will be listed.

Confederate Rose 08-12-2013 07:04 AM

Is there a way to get to the page that had all the "numbers" so you could look at what was added each day and also look at the old pages? I need to know how to bookmark too. Thanks.

I"m not exactly sure what you mean.. If you go to this link: http://www.quiltingboard.com/members...07-albums.html , the albums (one per quilt style) will be shown in order by date of update, most recently updated first. Each little thumbnail shows the date of last update, and the number of photos in the album.

When i go there, it shows that the last post on all of them was 8-10 or before. i use to go to the page that showed at the top - pages 1 though 200+ and below you could see the numbers 1 through 200+. The numbers started at 1 and were the most recent posts. you didn't have to click on several things to see what was added that day. i guess i'm getting too old for these changes. i just like looking at everything that was posted that day and not have to search. The numbers at the top you could click on any number, ie 117 and see pictures posted a while back. Can we still find that page? Also i can't figure out how to bookmark a page now. Sorry to be so much bother. Thanks.

Confederate Rose 08-12-2013 12:55 PM

Cathy, i took your advice above and read the help section and figured out how to bookmark. So easy! it pays to read instructions! Still would like to know how to find the page with the listings each day. Thank you.

cat-on-a-mac 08-12-2013 06:05 PM

C. Rose,

The first thing I can think of is that you try clicking on "what's new" at the top of the page. That shows the most recent postings for all categories.

Another suggestion: If you look at the very bottom of this page, there's an "Archive" link. There, you can select a category (main, pictures, etc.) Those lists will give you the topics (threads) in each category, with the newest started topics at the top.

I see that you posted your Attic Window picture shortly after the above post, so I guess you figured it out! I've got your quilt marked for addition to the gallery next time I do updates.
