Oh, my! I didn't know about this. Thank you!!!

taryn72 11-06-2013 06:16 AM

Please send me the info also on how to bookmark. Thanks

Maureen NJ 02-06-2014 04:13 PM

Can you please tell me if one is able to access the thread related to a picture in the picture gallery. Thanks.

cat-on-a-mac 02-06-2014 05:46 PM

No, sorry. But, if you click on the name of the member who posted the picture (in the first comment under the photo) it should take you to that member's profile. There, you can look at the thread started by that member, and hopefully, find the thread associated with the quilt

Maureen NJ 02-07-2014 03:41 AM

Thanks Cathy.

Good Morning, I can only provide information for working with a Mac, as this is the computer I use. Across the top of my page when I am on Safari, (my web viewer) I have a category to click on that is titled Bookmarks. If I click on it the drop down will give me the option to view the bookmarks I have or to add a bookmark. I am blessed that Mac, keeps it simple for my complicated mind. Once I save my bookmarked page I go back in and edit the title.

I made 2 pillowcases today with some funky fabric that was donated to the soldier quilts group that I sew with. The cuffs are different otherwise they are the same. My granddaughter will be happy to have a new pillowcase to sleep with tonight, she's staying with us for the weekend. :D
The fabric wasn't suitable to go into a soldier quilt, so it was given to me to figure out what to do with it.

I was so confused. I didn't know everyone builds their own album.

paintmejudy 03-17-2015 07:01 PM

This is so great, Cathy, that you put all these albums together. Looks wonderful. Thanks from all of us for your efforts.

And don't forget -- if you have aol, you have a "favorites" colums -- when a thread you want to keep is on your screen, hit the red heart in the way upper right corner, just under the toolbar.

I would surely love one of those galleries for Art quilts.

Click one time. A drop-down window will open. The title of the site / page will appear - you can rename it to clarify better what it is about.

Before starting to “save” a site / page to "Bookmarks," I suggest you write a list of items you (think) you want to bookmark. Then set up a series of MAIN folders. There might be a tab on the drop-down menu showing a block named “New Folder.” If you do not have a folder created, click on “New Folder” block. Chose a name you will recognize. I use numerical sequences and one to two word topic names for creating new folders. Such as 1-0 Quilts, 2-0 Cleaning, 3-0 Health, etc. To create sub-folders within the MAIN ones, click to open the MAIN folder (i.e., 1-0 Quilts); must leave it open to create a new sub-folder under that heading. Notice I have given the sub-folder the name of "1-# Quilts" : 1-1 Quilt Examples). With each new sub-folder under same topic (1.0 Quilts), I name the sub-folder (example) 1.1 Quilt Rotary, 1-2 Quilt Videos, 1-3 Quilt Tutorials, 1-4 Quilt Fabrics, 1-5 Quilt Curved Pieces, 1-6 9-patch ... 1-15 Quilt Sharpener (etc).

So far I have 25 MAIN folders with sub-folders. As shown above, a sub-folder helps me remember where I saved a previous topic I am looking for: 2-0 Cleaning; sub-folders: 2-1 Cleaning Vinegar, 2-2 Cleaning Iron, 2-3 Cleaning Laundry, etc. Under 3.0 Health, 3-1 Health Gen (general), 3-2 Health Scans, 3-3 Health Food (recipes, hints, tips), 3-4 Health Spleen, 3-5 Health Rash, etc.

Everyone’s home page is set-up differently, so start looking for the tab marked "Bookmarks." If a better explanation how to get started, do a google, bing, other search for "bookmarks." I hope this helps rather than hinders you. Enjoy setting up and maintaining bookmarks and sub-bookmarks.

Hello --
I'm looking for memory quilts that are made with photos. Is there a listing for these somewhere that I just haven't been able to find? Thanks

cat-on-a-mac 03-11-2016 07:45 PM

Sorry, we don't have a section for that in the gallery at this time. You could try using the search function to look for "memory quilts"

Otter 04-25-2016 08:17 AM

The gallery is created from links to other threads on QB that have been created. So, once you have posted pictures of a quilt on the board, for example in the Pictures area, send me a PM with a link to your post. If you don't know how to create a link, you can just send me the title of your post, and I should be able to find it.

Yes, sorry, the list has gotten corrupted, and I'm working on getting it back. In the meantime, that list is really just a shortcut to a set of albums, that you can reach via this link: https://www.quiltingboard.com/members/qb-quilt-gallery-u36607-albums-9.html

nativetexan 03-20-2018 03:52 PM

it works now. great!! I was looking for Batik quilts though. just for ideas.

Please read the text at the top of each album in the gallery.

I did send a PM, requesting that two of my recently posted landscape quilts be included in the gallery: 1. "one With Nature" and 2. "Fall in the Adirondacks". I also suggested that Landscape Quilts be included as one of the Gallery's categories. I never received a reply, nor can I find my landscape quilts in the gallery. Did I miss something in the way of communication? Do I need to resend photos of those quilts? In the absence of a reply, I am clueless.

cat-on-a-mac 06-22-2018 05:58 AM

Nita -- Sorry I hadn't responded. (Right now, my husband is in the hospital, so I've been dealing with that, and anyway, I don't work on the QB stuff on a daily basis.) I'll see what i can do about adding your quilts to the gallery, but I can't promise when.

I did get your PM, and that's the right way to request your quilts be added. Thanks!

Cathy,
I do hope that your husband better! Oh my, you have a lot on your plate right now. No worries if you need to put QB aside to tend to family concerns ... ABSOLUTELY. I am glad to know that I "got it right" on how to get quilts posted on the gallery, thanks for that confirmation. Take care and thank you for curating the QB Gallery, it is a wonderful feature of this forum.

The Quilt Gallery has been remodeled and moved to a new home in the Albums area of the board. If you click HERE you'll go to the Gallery's album list. As new quilts are added, the most recently modified albums will move to the front.

Or, if you are looking for a particular type of quilt, click HERE to find a list of links by category.

I've tried all kinds of different things to find my picture. All I see is empty boxes and clicking on them ; right or left; does nothing.

As explained in the QB Help forum, all the albums are not empty. Admin is seeing what can be done to restore them, if anything.

I have been looking for the Gallery Post: Tumbling Blocks. It was there this morning, as I was looking at it. Now it is no longer on the list. Tumbling Blocks is not the same as Tumblers, and they are not on the Tumblers page either. How do I get that back?
