Quilt from "Just Sew It" class

2 Attachment(s)
Our LQS has a "Just Sew It" class once a month. Fell in love with the one for April and had to make it. It measures 66x78 and is made with 2.5 strips and 5" squares. It's all batiks on front and a green batik for the back. The border is made from the leftovers of the inner blocks. I don't know if there is a name for the pattern.

Is it possible to share the pattern name or source?

From your close up it looks similar to indian hatchet blocks with the center being a pieced strip, possibly cut from a 3 fabric strip set at an angle?

NIICHMOM 05-02-2015 06:13 AM

Comparing the two it was amazing the difference in colors make. I had to pay close attention to realize they were both the same pattern

Texas_Sue 05-03-2015 05:16 AM

Great job. I really like that design and Batiks are beautiful. Susan

Skhf 05-03-2015 05:39 AM

It is amazing how different fabric choices make a quilt look totally different. The stars appear when using the same fabric at the points and the X,s when theoints are different. Both are great!

ManiacQuilter2 05-03-2015 05:40 AM
