help

sylvia77 03-06-2010 01:37 PM

In the article under foundation piecing there's a sentence that's underlined that says twisted log cabin block, click on that and that will take you to where you can get the pattern and color sheets. It will be on the left side where you click on which one you need. Hope this helps you Leota. If you still have problems, let me know.

Wow! This is beautiful - great job!

Lilaciris 03-11-2010 09:05 PM

Well, I'm glad I checked this post again.

I had tried drafting a template and was daunted by figuring out the placement of the fabric.

I'm definitely going to try this one.

fran624 03-13-2010 05:32 PM

Hi Sylvia--you made a beautiful quilt and the colors are outstanding. Who wrote the book Log cabin with a twist??

sylvia77 03-13-2010 09:58 PM

Barbara Kaempfer wrote Log cabin with a twist. The pattern is also in Borders & finishing touches by Bonnie Browning.

sylvia77 03-13-2010 09:59 PM

That's why it's important to get a color sheet and color in the colors so you can keep it all straight, Lilaciris.

I've always wanted to do this pattern, but it's in a book, isn't it? I just want the pattern for this quilt, not the whole book. If you'd be interested in sharing the pattern for a price, 'cause I'm sure it's copywrited. Or let me know where I can get it. I'm already collecting rainbow fabrics to make the Diamond Log Cabin Star quilt pattern by dunmar, so both quilts would be in the same color way. Perfect, huh? Thanks! You can PM me.

Thanks for this pattern. I should have read the whole thread before I asked for the pattern. Now I have it and will put it on my to do list.

Sylvia77,
If you can, put your quilt in a judged show. I did and I won Viewer's Choice.

candi 04-29-2010 05:22 PM

Love it!

Harmony 04-29-2010 06:05 PM

So beautiful! I agree with everyone else--looks like it was hard to do! I love the bright colors against the black!

rummage 06-21-2010 07:11 AM

Hi :D I have just bought a tabletopper kit in this design and I am totally confused by the instructions. The only paper piecing I have done in the past are hexagons and have successfully made a 'Grandmother's garden quilt', I find the hexagons easy, I handsew them and have no problems. The instructions for this kit are for machine stitching and I just cannot get my fogged brain around them - Any help at all would be gratefully appreciated (and is desperately nedded  )
