Embarrassingly, the label on the back of this quilt for my grandson is dated 3/2009! I was gonna give it to him for Christmas 2009 but didn't get it quilted till Jan. 2010. Gratefully I've been in a 'quilt it and finish it' mood the last couple of weeks, so I finally got the binding on it...YAY.

The backing is flannel. I had wanted to bind it in the fabrics of the borders but couldn't find them! I think the flannel turned out just as nice as the binding.

Unfortunately, my 'make a new quilt' mood is overtaking my 'finish it' mood.

The fabric collection is called 'Jungle Jubilee' by South Sea Imports. I didn't even use the entire collection in the quilt. I purchased it several years ago at M&L Fabrics in Anaheim at a great price, I think it was 2.99 yd. Love that store!

This is so very cute! I have 5 granddaughters and they have all picked out the fabrics for their quilts. Now just to find the time to get them done. They all want something different of course. It would not be any fun if they were alike.
