A quilt for new grandson
 

Well, the baby is 2 months old but just finished this. I did several things I've never tried before: I pre washed and starched all the fabric, I did not iron the fold in the binding, used silk thread to hand sew the binding on the back, did a very little bit of FMQ without a pattern. I usually have to trace pattern on thin tear away fabric and the stitch over the paper which is what I did for most of this quilting. Maybe someday I'll be able to just do it! The pattern is "jack and Jill" from Karipatch Designs.

That quilt is adorable! Fabrics are perfect, there's a lot going on, but it's not overwhelming, and the back is perfect for the quilt.
