Clotilde has a pattern called "The Big Block" you might want to check out, also I just picked up a magazine that was all big block patterns at WalMart. It was $9.99 but had a lot of nice patterns but I don't remember the name of it and I'm at work and can't check.

You can do very pretty quilts with large squares (6" or larger) , 2-1/4" sashing (jelly roll) and 2-1/2" cornerstones. Would the 2-1/2" squares for the cornerstones be too small for you to deal with? I just finished a top with fussy cut fairies and Tinkerbell fabric for a little friend who loves green and fairies. Have not taken a picture yet.

I did add piping to the blocks which you certainly would not want to mess with (neither will I again any time soon!) but that was added only because the sashing fabric was too close in color to the background color of one of the fabrics and I just HAD to go on and do piping on all of squares after I had done the green ones....

You can convert just about any basic block mathematically to the size you can handle. A nine patch can become a 15" block by using 5" squares, or by using a 10" squares making a 30" block.

BBQ AND BBQ2 are always great quilts for large prints.

Turning Twenty is also a big piece quilt that turns out looking really good. The smallest piece is 6 1/2 X 10 1/2.

You NEED to watch this video... it's called a 10 minute block, this one is a 20 inch block, and it looks very easy! 3 Seams and in a day or two you can have a nice quilt top. It calls for 10 inch squares of fabric for one 20 inch block. It looks so easy.

You might try it. HTH.
