WOW!! You did all those by hand? Nice job!!!  Love the pic of your little helper, too! :D

Jim's Gem 04-06-2011 03:53 PM

WOW!! You have some really impressive work there!! Thanks for sharing you work with us!

The first quilt - the branches w/flowers - is stunning. STUNNING!!! I'd love to have that hanging in my house.

And I love the way you used the hexagons for the cornerstones in the batik(?) quilt. I don't think I've ever seen that before, and I'm letting you know right now, in writing, I'm stealing it.   It's brilliant - very innovative with a ton of possibilities. Thank you!

quiltjoey 04-06-2011 04:48 PM

Lovely! I appreciate the work you do by hand. Have done some appliques by hand and I'm slow at it.

cjr 04-06-2011 04:53 PM

All are beautiful. Hard to choose a favorite. Thank you for sharing

Quilted Horse 04-06-2011 04:54 PM

Those are great. If you can do that by hand, there would be no stopping you with a machine! And...if you can figure out how to post pix, you'll have no problem working a fancy sewing machine. Go for it!!! And post more pix soon.

marilynr 04-06-2011 04:55 PM

Beautiful art. My favorite is the last one pictured: your
work-in-progress (WIP). Keep up the good work. You do not need a machine. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

Oz 04-06-2011 05:19 PM

Wow. Beautiful. Especially knowing you did them by hand. I really admire that.

My first quilt was by hand - piecing and quilting. (Well, almost finished - a couple blocks left to quilt and binding.) I loved the piecing but am struggling with the quilting. You have given me hope.

Great job.

TerryQuilter 04-06-2011 05:21 PM

They are all very nice.

Rntraveler 04-06-2011 05:23 PM

Beautiful... love the colors.. what a great job for not having a machine..

cmagee84 04-06-2011 05:28 PM

WOW, WOW, WOW. Fabulous, stunning, awesome and a few more adjectives. Keep up the good work and keep sharing.

earthwalker 04-06-2011 05:30 PM

What an amazing body of work...I love your quilts...especially that one with a hex at the corner. You really have an eye for colour and design (and for picking a cute helper). Thanks so much for sharing with us. I have only been machine quilting for a couple of years...maybe get an older machine (they are pretty simple) and make sure it has a manual. If you can navigate around this board and post pics, you will take to using a machine like a duck to water!

autismland 04-06-2011 05:53 PM

Thank you your all very kind. if it wasnt for my fear of cutting the fabric, the uncertianty of my sewing, the nervous breakdown i nearly have, trying to pull it together, the endless staring at the chaos of fabric thrown everywhere, and the neverending question ts this working.

my helper grayson, he tells me stop thinking, just do it,
ill try to make them faster. feel free to steal my ideas, thats what friends are for. show me your photos

debcavan 04-06-2011 05:58 PM

xsquilter 04-06-2011 06:00 PM

Absolutely impessive work! NO machine?! You're amazing, I couldn't do it.

I really like your scenery quilts. Always wanted to make one but don't have the slightest idea of where to start. I see you have a furry helper. ;-) My kitty likes to be right there with me too.

Bmanmommy 04-06-2011 06:06 PM

jillnjo 04-06-2011 06:12 PM

Lori Peercy 04-06-2011 08:14 PM
