What a heart wrenching story with such a beautiful ending!

I can not even imagine losing my quilts. Great job on the recovery

I drove from NB to Montreal that day and can remember thinking, as the rain poured down, someone was going to pay for that somewhere. I am very glad you could salvage even a bit out of the rubble. Glad, also, that you were away and not in the flood as you may have been hurt otherwise. Nice job recovering the quilt.

So sorry that your home was flooded but happy that your husband rescued the quilt. Just beautiful!!! Lots of flooding this summer here in Virginia.

Awesome save!

Beautiful work!

Chilling! I love your little quilts.

What devastation you came through - can't imagine how much work you had to clean it all up. So glad you finished your beautiful quilt. Every quilt does have a story!

Oh gosh. I'm so sorry about your troubles. You did a beautiful job resurrecting that gorgeous GFG. And the burst of color is beautiful as well. This is what the saying "when life hands you scraps, make quilts" is all about.
