When we were in Ohio this summer we went on a barn quilt tour. The blocks were beautiful and my hubby and I had lots of fun trying to find them. This is what he has made me for a small shed we have in our yard. Plus he said he had more to paint. I'm not sure where they will go but I won't refuse. Didn't he do a great job

AKDaffyodil 10-04-2011 03:38 AM

Very cool! I want to make one for the front of my house.

They hang any where you want.

I really like those. Great hubby you have.

QuiltE 10-04-2011 03:49 AM

He's done a great job!!

If you run out of space, share them with your neighbours and you'll have your own area Barn Quit Tour started!!!! :)

Good Job to your DH. I want to do one to to put on the front of my house. Could be a good way to connect with other quilters in the neighborhood that you aren't aware of and and to advertise my LongArm business.

Great job your hubby did........I want one for my "outhouse" garden shed my hubby gave me for my birthday in June, it was made by his golf buddy. Took 5 guys to take it from the trailer and set up by my garden. I have wanted an outhouse for several yrs. to store my garden tools in.

Chele 10-04-2011 04:11 AM

Wonderful job

Tartan 10-04-2011 04:38 AM

Your shed will be beautiful! If he makes you a couple more, you could always put hinges on the top of 2 and use it like a billboard by your mailbox or in front of the house number?

ljptexas 10-04-2011 04:40 AM

Wow!!! Great job. Gives me an idea!!! Just added to my-already-too-full-bucket-of-to-dos.
what kind of weather finish is used?

Those are fabulous! Thank you for sharing.

charismah 10-04-2011 06:31 AM

They look great! I am thinking I want to make one as well. I don't have a barn or a shed and I live in town. But the front of my house is really big...so I think I can customize a size and make one.

Lori Peercy 10-04-2011 06:31 AM

Great quilt blocks. He did a terrific job. I live one county away from the county that has all the barns with blocks. The quilt block barns started in Adams County in Ohio. So glad you enjoyed them. Thanks for visiting.

jc469273 10-04-2011 10:14 AM

Yes, he did a great job. I'd like to put in an order for one!

Very cool idea!

Donna H-M 10-05-2011 02:26 AM

I love them. I was wondering what he used to paint on. I think wood would warp outside. And how will he attach them without putting holes in the designs. I would really like to make one.......Thanks Donna

piepatch 10-05-2011 03:47 AM

Homespun 10-05-2011 04:06 AM
