I made this all out of scraps of reds pinks whites and creams. red was my Dad's favorite color. He use to say "I like red no matter what color it is" :)
This is a picture of the whole top. Sorry about the clutter in the pic. This is currently the unused sunroom in my house. It will one day..... be a sewing room.

This is a closer picture so you can see the fabric better.

I am going to quilt it with a swirly pattern in a pink varegade (sp) . My friend lets me use her long arm :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) I miss my Dad a lot. He passed away Feb. 27,2007. He was 80 but, I was 37. My Mom and Dad married later in life. There are five children and I am the youngest. Mom is 76 years young and off to the Hummel Convention in Niagara Falls. LOL :-) :-) :-) Thanks for all your wonderful comments.

yep it came from scraps from my stash and from my friends stash. I also collected bits and pieces from quilt shop baskets of scraps.

This pattern actually called for a jelly roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so I took all my "reds" and ironed them and all the creams too. I then cut as many 2 1/2 inch strips as I could from the scrap. I had over 120  bits and pieces of 2 1/2 inch strips to equal the yardage of the 40 strips in a jelly roll. It was a lot more sewing to sew strips together. :? I had to be creative in mixing and matching darks and lights. 8) I did the same with the cream and whites to get the rectangles. It was fun to do!! With Dale as sick as he's been money is a challenge so the stash is a great place to start. It's free!!!!
:) :) :)
