I've been sewing Christmas! Here's a couple of mini quilts I have finished.
First is 11.5 square with Broken dishes blocks at 1" square.
Second is 11.5 x 13. Center medallion block is 3" square.

love to see the mini's but don't think I have the patience to work with such small pieces. Beautiful!

Thank you for the kind words. Once I got started, I got hooked! I can work on them for a couple of days, then go back to larger pieces. I laugh at myself when I can't get large pieces to line up straight!

Do you hand piece these since the pieces are so tiny? You'd have to, wouldn't you? I bet my machine would eat a whole miniature quilt before I figured out how to stop it...

No I don't. I use starch, but not really heavy and my sewing machine does not have a single hole throat plate. On the rail fence I sewed 3 3/4" strips using a 1/4" allowance. Then sub cut the strip into 1 1/4" squares. The HST are done using random leftover triangles and sewing a random seam allowance from 1/8 to 1/4". Then I square up the HST to the correct size. In this case the HST are cut 1", sewn 1/2 inch to make a 1" broken dishes block.

Here's a couple more postings of recent miniatures
