I really like this hoody, I must put it on my to do list. I wear hoodies all the time!! You did a great job and it is very pretty :) Did you take a hoodie apart or make it from a pattern?

raedar63 01-17-2012 03:50 AM

Love this . I wear plain old hoodies all the time . I need to snaz them up . And I bet this would keep the husband and grown boys from "borrowing" them ;)

How did you do the pockets? Oh now I see it was from a regular sweat shirt right? did you use two to get the hood and pockets?

lsmft 01-17-2012 03:51 AM

You are doing exacting the projects I dream about. I'm just about finished with a bathrobe - my first of quilted clothing. Your photos have inspired me to keep going with wearable quilts. Thank you!

I can see how the jacket was made from the sweatshirt, but can't figure out where the sweatshirt lining came from for the hood? Did you shorted the sweatshirt and use that for the hood? Help, can't figure it out!!

RonieM 01-17-2012 12:24 PM

What a great idea. I have done sweatshirts before but never thought of doing a hoodie. Did you find it difficult to do the hood? Any tips would be appreciated.

yes, it was a little bit difficult to do the hoody and when you are binding the seam after you sawed the hoody on cause that seam was thick. I used Steam-A-Seam 2 Tap (1/4" wide) sticking on both side of seam then ironing bias tap on the seam and sawing.
