Good for you. It is such a cute quilt. I am so glad that you have decided to join the other quilters. There are so many seasoned quilters here who will help you with what ever you need help with. I am very new, and so many have already been helpful and kind to me.

miss_ticky2 07-12-2011 04:23 PM

Nothing wrong with that...you've done a great job :)

dphelps 07-12-2011 04:28 PM

You are off to a great start so don't stop. It takes lots of practice and all the while, you will always be learning.

FQ Stash Queen 07-12-2011 04:32 PM

If you could have seen the first quilt I ever made, you would have no doubt you are a quilter. I think it is brave of you to post something that is your first, and you did a lovely job. Just keep on keeping on, and thanks for sharing with us.

Judith1005 07-12-2011 04:33 PM

Yours looks far better than my first one!! My first one was just a bunch of scrap squares sewn together, willy-nilly. Long as you have the " want-to", the "can-do" just naturally follows.
You have a cute quilt inspector, and that helps, too!!

grammy Dwynn 07-12-2011 05:35 PM

Wonderful start!

We all started somewhere, so don't beat yourself up. Even the 'better' quilters will kick themselves when the screw up. Enjoy the process of learning and improving, it all will come.

Most of us had training wheels on our bikes, we didn't start out with riding hands free the first time. But eventually we got there.

lorimax5859 07-12-2011 05:41 PM

I think you did a great job. I love the dog pics!

crafty gal 07-12-2011 05:45 PM

That is really really cute! Nice job!

jo_bunch 07-12-2011 06:06 PM

No, it's just the print of the fabric...

Jennifer22206 07-12-2011 06:07 PM

you did a great job. :) It's all about the practice. Just have fun - that's the most important part.

ilovetosew 07-12-2011 06:20 PM

This is great! Very cute!

blueangel 07-12-2011 06:22 PM

Maureen 07-12-2011 07:00 PM

You did a wonderful job and mine arent perfect, but I love them all.

Scrap Happy 07-12-2011 07:18 PM

It's so cute!

M.I.Late 07-12-2011 07:42 PM

Keep making them... save this one in a special drawer. In three years pull it out and make another one similar. Do this every few years, you'll be amazed at the improvement.
