Railroad - your embroidered center reminded me that I have those Redwork patterns from quite a few years ago. I many redwork squared all finished (but not these) and I just haven’t come up with a way to put them together that isn’t just the same old same old. Your quilt has given me some very good ideas which have never crossed my mind. I have 2 or 3 sets of 25 finished blocks each just waiting and waiting and waiting for me to come up with a brilliant setting idea. Your quilt is beautiful and thank you for a wonderful idea.

II am so glad you are able to make use of this. I think I gave the magazine away where the Irish theme quilt was set this way. When I saw the picture I thought it would be a good way to use red instead of the green. It would work to make even one round fewer of the blocks, I think. I'll be waiting to see your work when it is finished.
