Love it! (Can't post just 'love it', so will say it again....Love it!)

Doggramma 07-22-2019 06:14 AM

What a beautiful way to set off the embroidery!

toverly 07-22-2019 06:33 AM

What a beautiful way to set off one embroidery piece. I love hand embroidery. Kudos to you for all those square in squares. That's my least favorite thing to piece. I always have to make it way too big to trim square.

QuiltnNan 07-22-2019 07:09 AM

great quilt

Rhonda K 07-22-2019 07:18 AM

Looks beautiful! That's a great way to set the embroidery work into the quilt.

juliasb 07-22-2019 07:20 AM

I love embroidery work, especially red work, in any quilt. The patience it takes sometimes, if done by hand, shows in the finished piece. This is a prime piece of art.

Lovely quilt and setting!

Maureen NJ 07-22-2019 08:53 AM

Love the quilt! Everything about it- embroidery, patchwork, quilting, even the red flange! Great job.

MicheleC 07-22-2019 08:54 AM

Just gorgeous!

The blocks were 6 1/4" unfinished. I cant find the magazine now, but there was an Irish quilt with this setting where the blocks were green. It had an Irish scene in the center, and that is where the idea to use it to frame the redwork came about.

Such a beautiful quilt! I would love to make it but I’m concerned how small the pieces will be without the pattern to go by, but I just love it, love it!!

Very pretty quilt---love the center embroidered piece.

Railroad - your embroidered center reminded me that I have those Redwork patterns from quite a few years ago. I many redwork squared all finished (but not these) and I just haven’t come up with a way to put them together that isn’t just the same old same old. Your quilt has given me some very good ideas which have never crossed my mind. I have 2 or 3 sets of 25 finished blocks each just waiting and waiting and waiting for me to come up with a brilliant setting idea. Your quilt is beautiful and thank you for a wonderful idea.

javin22 07-28-2019 03:34 AM

That is so cute. Great job with all of it.

I am so glad you are able to make use of this. I think I gave the magazine away where the Irish theme quilt was set this way. When I saw the picture I thought it would be a good way to use red instead of the green. It would work to make even one round fewer of the blocks, I think. I'll be waiting to see your work when it is finished.

Beautiful embroidery in a beautiful setting! Love all of your reds.

Fab use of the quilt blocks, and all the shades of red give it a dynamic look. Excellent quilt.
