Great tip for a newbie like me! Thanks for sharing!

Great idea!

I have one that came wit my LA guess Ill have to check out the odd dept to get anotherone (you cna never have to many magnetic pin cushions!!!)
|
I MUST get one for myself. No, I need two of them. One for putting pins in directly and one to attach to a handle so I can 'sweep' them up from the floor.
If there were a competition for dropped pins, I'd be the champion, no doubt about it! |
Deb, I have one too and am always recommending them to people. You can pick them up on sale at Harbor Freight quite often. If not they are available at many other stores.
They have a nice rubber gasket on the bottom so they don't scratch your work surface!!! Kat |
Cathy, you can sweep across the floor with the bottom of the bowl and it will pick them up too.

I'd love one of these but don't trust myself. I'm afraid I'll forget and put it too close to my machine.

I'm not sure if this is fact or fiction, but I heard that having a magnet close to computerized machine can be detrimental.
That said, I have the magnet and have found it to be a lifesaver when I have spilled all my pins on the floor. To be safe, I keep my magnet a healthy distance from my sewing machine. |
Love these things. I have several laying around at different places. Got a couple from Harbor Freight & then found some for $2 at a closeout store. Also got the magnetic telescoping wand for those pins I drop
