Thank you all for the generous comments. Yes I'm "hooked" to making more OBW's. Someone indicated they couldn't figure out how to make one - I believe there is a tute on this forum for it. I followed the book but the tute would've sufficed as she covered all of the same points. They are such fun and so creative - how you make the hexagon and how you place them all together - so many choices! The quilt I'm currently working on is a variation of the 'coins' quilts. I'm using my dear Dad's shirts. I'm also making one for each of my siblings. Lots of memories in those shirts! Thanks again!

Both quilts are really nice. BUT, I absolutely LOVE your OBW. Have never done one, but, after looking at yours, wow is all I can say. Who could imagine that fabric used for anything else but a backing???? Unbelievable. Will have to check out the process. Pretty cool, I'd say!!! Congrats.

Both quilts are superb. It is such a nice surprise to see the OBW that comes from an odd fabric. The pattern for your Sunset looks similar to one I used. Mine alternated rows of 9-patches with rows of squares, so it wasn't as hard compared with yours with zillions of tiny squares.

I agree and the quilting on the sunset one is lovely. Who would have thought the scenic fabric would turn into such a stunning quilt!
