Thank you for showing the quilts. I have been having a hard time with two strip quilts that I put together earlier this year. I hope you don't mind, but I want to borrow your idea of the circles - they made the quilt top pop. I'm thinking any geometric shape would work: how about hexies?

Go right ahead and share my design. Actually, I would even mix circles, hexies, squares any shape that you like. Even large flowers would look great with stems and leaves.

I love them both. You did a very good job. Beautiful area too.

OMG, what a difference from Sat. The potholes were almost dry. I heard about the flood but that video is amazing. I sent it to all my quilting friends who go to that shop. One of the girls wants to go to Norton House too. Looks like another road trip soon. Thanks for those videos, they are incredible.

I think the little pink quilt shop in this youtube clip of the flooding from Hurricane Irene might have been the original A Notion to Quilt that is now safely located high and dry on MA Route 2. Strictly speaking, it's not in the Berkshires, but is in Franklin County, close enough. These beautiful mountains belong to all of us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NWDRyg1j88 Another great quilt shop, not in the Berkshires, but just north a little into Wilmington, VT is the Norton House which was also devastated by Irene, but it, and many of the businesses in historic buildings on the riverside cleaned up and reopened in the same locations. What a task! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvVMOoR93_c

Both quilts are fabulous! I love the circles you added to your jelly roll quilt!

Beautiful area and quilts. Funny, I don't like jelly roll race quilts, period. BUT, with the addition of the circles I really like yours. Nice job on both!

What a beautiful spot:)!!! I put it on my list of places to go. Thanks for all the information....sounds quite interesting. Your quilts are nice. I love all the comments about the jelly roll. I've always wanted to do one....a fast project. You really jazzed yours up with the big circles. I want to put big flowers on mine. Nice work.
