Cool idea! I miss teaching math because I can't use my three Weaver's Fever quilts to teach scale....one regular size blocks quilt, one double-sized blocks quilt and one half-sized blocks quilt....very easy to do. I'm not a science person so I would never have thought of science and quilts....but what a fabulous idea!!!!!!

What a great idea!! I taught math for a while and used quilts and carpentry to convince the students that geometry was worth learning. It was amazing how much the girls picked up fractions when they had to figure out the size of the quilt blocks (or the quilt).
