Let me thank you quilters. We were victims of the San Bruno Gas Line Explosion and fire in 2010 and lost everything. We received a donated quilt that had been made and given to us. I use it daily to wrap up. It warms me twice from the quilt itself and the warm thoughts of the gift. These donation quilts can REALLY mean a lot to those who have lost all.

Beautiful quilts and beautiful people for doing this. I can't imagine the heartache those victims have suffered. For them to receive a quilt and the love they contain will warm their hearts. Bless you all.

Our guilds here in alaska did the same thing earlier this year for the fire victims. They were grateful to have them. Quilters are an amazing community.

quilters are the most generous of people. our guild members are making quilts for the 60+ families that were burned out here in Central Idaho. We have received donations from all over to help us meet our goal. some have been award winning, gorgeous creations that were happily sent for the families with nothing left. thank you to all the wonderful quilters that have given of time and money to help others.

So impressed with all your work and your generosity. When calamity strikes, it's so good to hang together and help one another.

I want to thank all of you for your kind comments. All the quilters I know are a loving and giving group. BTW, the reason we needed 36 quilts for 35 families is that one woman is in her second round with cancer and lost her original comfort quilt in the fire. We feel that life has dealt her more than her share of sorrow.

Making these quilts was a joyful process, begun while the fires were still burning just south of our town. One thing that we are sure of is that any comfort quilt we make will find a home where it is needed. I am sure that is true for all of you as well.
