Is that your son in your avatar? He is so cute. I have almost the same type of picture of my grandson only he was standing up in the picture.

All of them are really beautiful! The grandmothers flower garden interests me as I am flying from PA to CA tomorrow (hate to fly) and plan on taking the pieces of a GFG to work on to keep me busy.

I have a fascination with Bargello. Was it difficult?

The colors of the Card trick are yummy....great work!

How fun to make a quilt with your mother! My mother is gone now and I wish she did those things with us. I'm making sure I make those memories with my daughters (sons too!!!)

Beautiful! And welcome to the board!

Nursie76 - Bargello wasn't too difficult, but get stickers to label each column b/c it gets confusing really easily and when this happened (a couple of stickers fell off) we laughed our way through it.
The card trick was for my daughter, Gillienne, who is extremely artsy and loves loud prints and colors--she loved her quilt.

Vicky - I'm all about memories...I know I'm fortunate to have my mum and we (my DH and I) are anxiously waiting for her to come and live with us permanently in Sep.

Thanks for the kind words :) :).

These are beautiful. I love the last one. Can you tell me more about the pattern? I'd like to try this one for my daughter-in-law.

They're all pretty! I especially like the blue one - I just love the pattern!

I got the pattern from "Quilt in a Day, Winning Hand by Mackie. It was really quite easy to make, the directions were great. You can get this by typing in quilt in a day winning hand on google.com or yahoo.com. Hope this helps. Here is another winning hand I made for my MIL.

Winning Hand - see the difference with different fabrics.
