Here are some of my favorites...

I really liked the hand embroidery on this quilt

Each appliqued block had sewing machine specialty stitches not embrodiery machine. It also had little beads and pearls sewn on. It was lovely

This is the Guild's quilt for next years raffle - I plna on BUYING a lot of tickets for it. The ship is a silk screen.

This one was VERY bright the sashings look orange but they are HOT pink and the squares and orange with pinks and purples

This 1 was next to the BRIGHT orange and hot pink quilt It was a bright corner!

Close up of the poppy - little french notes it is beautiful.

These were seasonal Row Robbins the Guild did with members

Those little teeth around the stars are about 1/4 inch big!

I think New York Beauty might be my favorite block ever

Loved the little seahorse

Sorry I thought I caught all the ones that were sideways... I thought this was a good scrappy quilt

loved the inner boarder on this one the star flower

Its a toss up between New York Beauty and Compass blocks as to which is really my favorite block. This quilt has them both!!!

This was a Japanese inspired quilt - I have a book with a lot of these blocks listed in it.

Loved the fall leaves

this was a kit quilt from the 30's that the quilter had purchased and then made all by hand

This quilt was SMALL

This was a Joann's BOM quilt. the pink was REALLY bright it made it pop.

This was made by the featured quilter - it was a kit she found at a show from the 30's it was very sweet baby quilt

What a great idea for a quilt the hands and feet are from one child from 6 - 9 yrs of age. I wish I had thought of that when my kids were younger.

I loved this seaside inspired quilt. All the appliqued pieces were by hand and the detail was excellent. Only the crane at the bottom was fused and top stitched applique.

This was the first quilt I took a picture of today. I love the primary colors with white background. It's what I've picked out for my LQS BOM this year. It's going to be pretty!

For those who don't like yellow in their quilts this one the yellow made it shine

These quilts are beautiful. Thank you for posting such great pictures.

Do you or anyone else know the name of the pattern for the quilt in the background of picture EIGHT? It looks almost like an orange peel quilt kinda with curvy squares. I LOVE that pattern!

The Ship is the portion that was silk screened. I asked about it from one of the guild members who was close by. When I was looking at it close up I thought maybe it was painted it didn't look like a printed panel. Apparently there is an artist who painted that picture and he gave permission to the guild to get it silk screened. The quilt will go to the show in Texas and next year be the quilt they raffle off. I plan on saving money to buy LOTS of tickets for it :-)

It's pretty I am not sure. I think maybe its an OLD pattern not used much any more? I will post it separately to see if anyone knows there are some smart quilters out on the board :-)
Thanks again for all the beautiful pictures.

LOL. I grew up on going on my grandparents boat (36' grand banks) and cruising around in the San Juan island every summer. I love the way the boat hits the wake while underway, I love the way it sways at night when your anchored, I love the smell of the salt in the air...someday I hope to retire and sail away on a boat - of course it will be a little tough to quilt out at sea LOL. For now I a have a speed boat on a lake to satisfy me.

I know it's gorgeous. The Oregon Coast Quilt Guild will be raffling it off next year during their show Aug 5-6, 2011. Tickets probably aren't on sale yet, but you could probably google them and contact them...
The pattern might be a little hard to copy, one of the guild members told me it cost them over a $150 to create the ship's silk screen, and they had to get permission from the artist first...
