Quilts for twin Great-nieces
3 Attachment(s)
Just catching up, posting a few completed projects.
These quilts were made using McCalls Paradigm Shift pattern and a Ty Pennington fabric line from Free Spirit Fabrics. I obviously forgot to take pics after the quilts were finished so these are just the blocks on the design wall. They each had 2 borders added after these pics were taken. I used this pattern for the girl's older sister a couple of years ago. |
Beautiful!! The perfect pattern for those fabrics!!

I like how the fabrics read as almost lacy within the blocks -- perfect for girls!

Love those. They are perfect for girls - so feminine without being toooooo "girly".

Love these fabrics! You did a great job.
|
Great quilts.
|
These are terrific! Really great use of those fabrics! I think you solved the problem I have with how to use some of the children's prints in my stash.
|
I love this! Just what I have been looking for, for a quilt for my brother, a mountain bike racer. In greens and tans it will look like "bike trails" don't you think? Please share the pattern name and location with me I can't wait to get started1

The one I made before was black and gray and turned out nice too so I am sure that your idea of greens and tans would be great. The pattern is "Paradigm Shift" from McCalls quilting. I think it was featured in the May 2010 magazine if you can find a back copy. There is a link to a free matching pillow and that is all I used for the pattern for the individual block and the placement is fairly simple. Here is a link to the first one I made and I know other board members have posted quilts from this pattern; http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...d-t104596.html Happy Sewing |
