'Quilty Pleasures' RR
 

hello ladies, i'm sharing with you my center for the up and coming RR, i'm calling this 'summer garden'.
i wish i could take credit for the design, but i can't...:o i actually saw the picture on line and decided 'now there is a lovely idea for a center'! i can certainly use that idea!!

(btw, please don't look TOO closely at the flying geese! they wouldn't stay still while i was squaring them up! lol... what a mess!!! rofl!!! good job i don't take life too seriously!!:rolleyes: )

i tend to go with autumn colours, so this is me breaking away from my comfort zone :) with these bold and beautiful colours, there should be something for everyone in this center, so go with your creative thoughts and juices!!

i'm looking forwards to sending it off in january!

now you've seen mine, lets see yours!! lol...

Valleyquiltermo, an RR is a "round robin." This one is a private group of friends who have decided to post our pictures of our quilts on the board for others to see. Each person in the group makes a center and every other person in the group adds a border. By the time we are done, we will have a fairly large quilt, depending on the size of the starting center. Our group consists of 7 quilters, so there will be six rounds added to each center, and according to the sizes of borders we have decided on, each side of the quilt will have borders totaling 33", so if the center started at 18" x 24" (which I believe is the size of mine), I should end up with a quilt 84" x 90.

jacquie, your center is fabulous! It looks like a lot of fun is in store.

Here's what I'm thinking of. I'd like something that starts with a traditional pattern and takes off from there, but my DH says this makes his eyes vibrate. I don't want to hurt any eyes out there.

That center is really neat, Barb. That would be fun to work on too.

I love it. Don't see a thing wrong with your flying geese. You should have seen mine - Let's just say, their wings were clipped. Yours are beautiful.

I'm thinking that the order is what goes across the top of the worksheet she sent us to keep track of the centers. I know she said that she and Abonda were doing the international mailings and that's not the way it is on the letter you are talking about, but is the way it's set up on the worksheet. That would be Abonda sending to Jacquie in Scotland and Carsey sending to BZang in Canada. I think on either list, Jacquie, it looks like you would be sending to MistyMarie.

I'm sure Carsey will let us know definitely which way it works.

Ok! I know it takes alot longer to get to the UK so..... I will probably be sending Jacquie's to her a little earlier so she can get it on time. Oh I can hardly wait to see what develops........... we have a great group!!!!

Those flowers are very pretty, I like the bright colors.

I love to make little quilts or postcards like this out of my scraps!! Yours is adorable!!

2nd, make sure it's no bigger than 1.91mb.

Dad gum!!! My photo is 2.8 not 1.91. It will not load it. I REALLY miss the Old way of uploading. How do I down size the photo???? CRAZY!!!! I guess I can have my daughter take a photo with her phone. I'm not that high tech!! Oh well, I will keep trying to figure it out.

By the way.............. I LOVE THE CENTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

carole, if you bring up your picture, go into file and press 'save' again, but before completing your 'save' you can alter the size/format etc at that point.
play around... you can't hurt anything! :)
