Rag quilt with cotton shirts and flannel
2 Attachment(s)
I just had to try this. Flannel has gotten so expensive so I put the shirts on the front with frayed edge appliqued patches and flannel on the back. I did use the Accuquilt rag die to cut both layers at the same time. I wasn't sure how it would rag up but I think it turned out fine. I made it for my daughter and son-in-law's new camper. I also made some pillowcases out of the left over flannel. They loved it. It was a nice surprise for them.

I am not usually a fan of rag quilts, but I love yours. Looks like it is just begging for a cuddle!
JoAnn Fabrics has flannel for $2.99/yd during their Daffodil Daze. Not sure when the sale ends but I just purchased backing for a charity quilt and lining for my family Christmas stockings. |
