I made this lap quilt for a Silent Auction at our church to benefit our elementary school. The auction is October 20 so I hope it gets some good bids. I also made a tote to carry it in but forgot to take a picture. I hate it when I do that..

P.S. Dont you love the feet below the quilt? Gives it a whole nother look.

Now that's cute. I've done the heart but haven't considered other shapes.

Very cute. What size are the finished sizes of the large and small squares? Seam allowance? Did you use batting? And I see you did a snowman outline to quilt the larger squares, is it just a swirl to the center on the smaller squares? Also, did you add the eyes and nose after you put the square togther?

kat112000 10-15-2011 08:08 AM

Cute quilt. Love the feet but shouldn't they be going the other way when the quilt back is being displayed? :)

Glassquilt 10-15-2011 09:28 AM

RedGarnet222 10-15-2011 09:28 AM

Did you create this design yourself or is there a pattern out there for us to purchase?

Oh it is a pattern called Raggy Snowman. I bought it over ten years ago. I made one for my grandson when he was 4 and he is now 12 years old. I had the Raggy Girl cut out for 5 years and moved 3 times during that time. Finally was so motivated by this board and all the quilters finishing their UFOs I thought I should. I believe the squares are 10" and 6" and I did sandwich batting.
