I had said I would post a pic when I finished this one. The top is finished, but still needs to be quilted and I have No idea what to do about that part!!

I love illusion quilts. I have been eyeing this pattern for a while. first time I have seen it done in rainbow colors. Turned out great.

Wow, that's incredible! Great work!!!
|
wow, good job
|
Awesome! That one is on my bucket list. When you figure out how to quilt it, let me know.
|
Super quilt! No idea how to quilt it, but you did a great job on the piecing.
|
I love this quilt, the center really pops! Try quilting circles in the center to continue the infinity effect, starting very small in the center and cork screw out getting larger and larger as you reach the edge. It could be a continuous line of quilting. For the next square i would stitch in the ditch around each color in the diamond, and continue to the next square. The dark color I would use a swirl pattern for movement.
Good luck, whatever you do, it will be spectacular! |
this is definitely a "WOW" quilt. Nice work!!

Wow that really came out nice. I love the colors. I have the pattern and it is near the top of my bucket list. I can't wait to get going on it. I also struggle with how to quilt things when I finish. How difficult is it. I haven't even looked at the instructions yet.

There is a lady named Geta Gamma in Romania who does lots of illusion quilts. She also posts on Pinterest a lot. You might try to find her web site (sorry I've forgotten the name) or go to Pinterest & search for her name there. Your quilt is stunning. I'm sure you will find just the right quilting technique for such a wonderful quilt. Kathy
