Scrappys are my favorite. Was the Baptist fan hard to do?

Like this quilt! I think you will probably like it once it is bound.

Not everyone likes the really scrappy look. I love it. Last year I made one with scrap strips, six inches by whatever. I sewed strips together until they were six inches wide, so I had six inch squares made of three or more strips, any size. I put these together rail fence style on the bias. (I didn't even realize it was rail fence until someone else pointed it out.)
The edges were white triangles to finish each row, then piano key border in six inch strips by whatever width I had. If it was more than three inches, I cut it in half. I had it hanging in our quilt show, and this is the one the newspaper photographer chose to print in our local paper. The caption read: Admiring a colorful quilt. |
Wow, I really like that. I'd like to do the same thing with flannel, just need to buy more fabric or cut up some of hubby's shirts. Wonder if he'll notice. hmmmmm~~

Great use of scraps ..these scrappys become the study of the future on fabrics...love the
traditional baptist fan. Keep up the great quilting |
I love your quilting did you do that on your domestic sewing machine?
