Really Scrappy

I confess I can not toss the smallest of fabric pieces. This is a quilt that measures 88inches by 102. It has not found its home yet. The fabulous quilting was done by Charisma. Her skills and talent amaze me, and I love the back of this quilt.

Beautiful quilt and fabulous quilting.....a great combination!

NIICHMOM 05-26-2014 05:12 AM

First you did the magic and then Charisma... so if you put 2 magics together you get a magical quilt, right? Thanks for sharing with us

Evelynquilts 05-26-2014 05:13 AM

can't believe it doesn't have a home yet, it's gorgeous! WOW, I love what you did with the border, curious as to how you did that exactly...it's charming!

lfstamper 05-26-2014 05:29 AM

WOW - amazing colors and quilting! My home needs a new quilt...lol.

crafterbarbara 05-26-2014 05:32 AM

HOW MANY HOURS? So very beautiful. I, too, keep all the little scraps. Running out of space, need to put them in a project.

Grandma Bonnie 05-26-2014 05:37 AM

A most beautiful scrap quilt! Great piecing by you and Charisma's beautiful quilting really finishes it beautifully!

dunster 05-26-2014 06:10 AM

Great work by both of you.

Stunning. I would love to see a better view of that fabulous border, if you could oblige. I love scrappy too and plan quilts down to about 1" squares also. I really appreciate the work in this one.
peace

is the pattern a 9 patch with a (wider) 4 patch center, or is it regular 9 patch with a wider center?

Ah, the image enlarges :) A four patch with sash and cornerstones, right?
It is lovely. It is batik?
Lovely! I too often work with 1-1/2 (unfinished) squares and strips.

terri bb 05-26-2014 06:33 AM

It is a four patch with corner stones. I used the same for the border. They are not batiks , just a bunch of circa 1980's florals. I sometimes wonder if I am working on 1980's scraps... when will I ever catch up!

Homespun 05-26-2014 06:42 AM

What a pretty quilt! I love the quilting that Charisma does. She did the log cabin in my avatar. I never get sick of looking at her feathers!

Hulalulu 05-26-2014 09:05 AM

Absolutely beautiful! Only goes to show you what others might consider "just scraps" can become a heirloom quilt!

auntpiggylpn 05-26-2014 09:09 AM

What an amazing quilt! You and Charismah both did an awesome job. If it doesn't have a home, I would be more than happy to adopt your quilt. I am so happy you save all those little pieces. You are an artist.

SouthPStitches 05-26-2014 01:56 PM

Lori, This quilt is just stunning. I do feel bad that it hasn't found its home yet. I'd be glad to "foster" it for a few years!

audsgirl 05-26-2014 02:15 PM

That's a work of art! The quilting is gorgeous and so good on the solid backing. It's fantastic that you use such tiny pieces.
