bobbie1 01-09-2011 07:59 AM

Love them all...you have certainly been busy. What pattern did you use for the table toppers? Thanks.

annieshane 01-09-2011 08:01 AM

You have been BUSY!!! Had not seen that version of table topper, but really like them. Bet your bookmarks were a treat for the class. Children do like to see their names on projects, don't they. Hope your craft fair was a big success!

We are expecting major ice storm Monday and Tuesday (very rate for south of NC). That will be major sewing time for me. My children bought me a hand turn Singer for Christmas, so I am all set if we lose power. Nothing stops a quilter, right?

Do post more of your wonderful work.

kajaza 01-09-2011 08:20 AM

Thank you!I'm not sure of the pattern name i've seen it on here before....but its just 2.5 in. strips sewn together then use a 60degree triangle to cut them! Really easy and quick!

The kids LOVED there bookmarks!! The teachers really appreciated a gift that they all could use and no-one could get confused on who's was who's either!!

Well for being in Maine we havent got but one really good snowstorm and the snow is about gone where i am on the coast...I hope your ice storm doesnt turn out to be to bad but at least you are able to sew!!
Thank you i will post more!

Wow, so pretty!!! Where do you find all the time to make all those lovely things???

Cuddly Quilter 01-09-2011 09:11 AM

You have wonderful ideas there and your sewing is wonderful and precise. I am sure all the children loved their book markers.

Brandi 01-09-2011 09:25 AM

All your gifts are very pretty and I am sure they were appreciated. The bookmarks that you made for your son's class what size and how did you make them? Do you have a tute? Do you have a pattern for the Christmas stockings? Di you sell a lot at the craft fair?

kajaza 01-09-2011 09:50 AM

thank you! oh gosh after all the ones that i made you would think i would remember there size,,,i think the starting fabric was 3x8. i dont have a tute but thats def. something to think about here are quick inst.~~
i used 2 pieces of 3x8 fabric with iron on pellon(3x8) as a stabilizer for the middle..
iron the stabilzer to 1 piece of fabric on the wrong side then put 2 fabrics right sides together and sew 3 sides of (leaving the bottom open)..turn right side out (fold bottom opening in) and sew around all 4 sides and done!!
Hope that makes sense!
I made my own pattern for the stockings but i dont have anything on paper just in my head..lol..
Thanks for your interest!

I just LOVE your blue table topper. That is so gorgeous.

Julianna 01-09-2011 12:21 PM

Can you please give directions for the table toppers?

CarlaHope 01-09-2011 12:51 PM

The twisters are great!

kajaza 01-09-2011 03:32 PM

The hexagon ones are 2.5inch (by width of fabric) strips sewn together then i used a 60 degree triangle to cut out the 6 triangles alternating the ruler...then sew 3 together and the other 3 together then sew the 2 halves together..sandwich with batting and a backing, quilt and bind it and your done! Hope this helps!
