Very bright and beautiful!

I used a small phone book, gently tore out the pages and used them as foundations. Started with the black strip first and built it up from there. Paying no attention what so ever to width of the pink strip. I think it helped make it more wonky. Then I turned it over and using my rotary cutter..trimmed around the original shape of the page. Very forgiving and fast!

Sandy64 03-12-2012 05:26 PM

Beautiful! Love the colors. Sandy64

love the colors - when we started quilting who would have thought that a phone book would become a quilting tool???

I was going to say, "Where is the newspaper?" But I remember reading about paper piecing with newspaper. Great idea & has to be much easier to pull away. Love the color combo.

Jammin' Jane 03-13-2012 10:41 PM

Love the colors! What an awesome quilt! Great job! :)

vivoaks 03-14-2012 03:09 AM

I've seen shows where they said to use phone book pages for paper piecing. I'm not sure my mind would stay on the lines with all that writing, as well. I'll stick with my newsprint paper I got from Dick Blick. com.

luci4 03-14-2012 04:11 AM

Beautiful quilt.

#1piecemaker 03-14-2012 04:15 AM
