My DH has 2 Farmalls, one a family tractor and the other he purchased. He thought $150 was a little steep and he knows it would be impossible for me to choose one over the other, I would want one of each!

Not every old machine is worth the effort to try to make it usable for sewing. There are a lot of machines out there that were JUNK the day they were made.
