This is the quilt I am making my step-brother for his wedding present. He is getting married next month in San Francisco (we are all flying out for the wedding). They wanted a grey quilt, but I added the red for a little pop. The quilt is 70" x 70" I started this quilt last weekend, but I did most of the sewing this weekend. I am taking it to get long arm quilted, and hopefully it will be done before the wedding. Whew I am glad the front is done, so I don't have to worry about it. Thanks for looking!

Wow!!! That is unbelievably gorgeous!!!! I'm astonished at how QUICKLY you pieced that together!! And you used real diamonds too... and not the easier, more modern way of using half square triangles. Very, very impressive. I love everything about it.

Gorgeous! I love the colors. The Lone Star pattern is one of the first quilts I remember from when I was growing up. My Mom had a quilt in that pattern made by her grandmother. I think she still has it somewhere, although it's a little worn. I should check into that.
Thanks for sharing the photo of your quilt. It brought back wonderful memories. |
