Great idea !! thanks ! love the near dresdon dress idea ! thanks for posting !!

QUILTNMO 03-22-2011 09:47 AM

that is so cute thanks for sharing

Gerbie 03-22-2011 10:37 AM

Becky that is so cute, is that your own pattern? I haven't seen one like that before. The skirt on the dress looks like dresden plate pattern, it it? What a cute idea to make just one large one for a quilt. Sure saves a lot of time, instead of making so many in a block for each.

Rann 03-22-2011 11:05 AM

Very pretty.

blyn330 03-22-2011 11:25 AM

What a treasure this will be----

Patched 03-22-2011 11:28 AM

Just downloaded the pattern, thank you for sharing it. Just got new dresdan plate templates, yesterday. Must be fate.

Psychomomquilter 03-22-2011 11:38 AM

I found a bunch of sunbonnet sues, and not the traditional, or I have never seen them before., one is a Bill & Sue, another was of farmer bill, another was one about fishing, and sue has the cutest dresses! found one with sue gardening. so yeah, got hooked.... loopks like a lot of work goes into those though.

oh and this red bonnet is really pretty too.

QuiltQtrs 03-22-2011 11:40 AM

Am in love with "Sue" .... where did you find pattern for this setting?
PM please

It's a pattern from free patterns.com that I'd downloaded. It is a pattern by Marian Shenk. The red Sue is only the beginning, but the blocks when completed will be 16" so it won't be so bad for a baby quilt. It does resemble dresden petals on the skirt. I've been working on another in jade green today.

misseva 03-22-2011 12:16 PM

ohhhhhhhhhh i loooooove sue!!!!! I've gotta do that one!

Poakie 03-22-2011 12:36 PM
