I love the Double Irish Chain quilt pattern! I made a few of them and played around with different borders. I gave away one of them to a good friend of mine who moved away to Toronto. I get to visit it when I go see her LOL

Beautifully done. I have never seen an Irish chain in red and white!
Great not only for Valentine's Day but for Christmas as well. Bravo, Marveen in sunny Tucson, AZ |
Your work is wonderful. Be sure to post when you get it Quilted.
Since the 14th is my Birthday, the Red and White really caught my eye. |
This is absolutely beautiful!! I want to make one JUST like it!!

I love that colour combo. and the pattern is just stunning. I have only made 4 twin size quilts and the first 2 were single Irish chain and they were an Eleanor Burns pattern that was sooooo simple to follow. i love her directions they are perfect for a beginner. Good luck with the quilting. I just did mine myself and stitched in the ditch.

Chele, Great job! I have been wanting to do one of those for many years, you might have inspired me to actually move it up a notch on my to do list! Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful. I love the Irish chain. It's a simple pattern but one that always looks nice Good job. :D

My first quilt I made was a triple irish chain in 3/4 inch squares. It was solid red, white and blue print. It took me 3 loooooong years to finish it. I have always loved the simple square patch. It's so versitile, you can create so many different patterns. I'm working on a shadow and sunset right now. 2 years into it. The top is done. I divide my top into 3 long panels and quilt them. Then I attach them together. I have 2/3 of it done. Now I'm working on the 3rd and last panel. I machine piece but hand quilt. I'll be visiting my sister tomorrow. I'll see if she'll let me borrow her camera and I'll send some pics.
