WOWSER!!! I love the red and white (I'm a big fan of white in quilts!), and the quilting is just stunning! Well done--show us more of your work, please!
|
Ohhhhh, ahhh, wooow! :D I'm currently working on a red and white quilt myself, yours is wonderful. I've seriously been considering giving a tub of quilt wash with it, but the recipient swears by vinegar. What do you think?
Oh and how many times did you wash your red first? I think mine was washed at least 5 times because the color kept running. |
Absolutely beautiful!! Stunning quilting too!! Perfect all around!!
*Side bar LOL...Elizabeth, try throwing about a 1/4 cup of salt in the water. It sets in the dyes. (I got that from the back of RIT fabric dye. It always seems to work. But I do put white vinegar in EVERYTHING I wash too) |
Thanks for the salt tip, is that epsom, kosher, pickling, or no matter?

Your points are just so sharp, and the quilting itself just sets them off beautifully! Wow!

|
That is wonderful quilting. The quilt is beautiful. Way to Go!!!
|
I too, would love to more of your awesome quilt!!!
|
wow!
what do you use to mark it before quilting? the designs are too beautiful. i'm happy if i can stay 1/4" inside the seam with a very straight line. |
I only marked the circles to mark where I would quilt the feather wreaths. I used a "Marvy" air eraseable pen. I love to do feathers and do them as much as my customers will let me!! :D :D
Karen |
all i can say is WOW!
|
I'm drooling! Stunning quilt and your quilting is exquisite.

This quilt is beautiful, very simple which makes it very dramatic. Did you machine quilt it?
|
Yes,
I am a longarm quilter and did it on my A-1 machine. Thanks for all the kind words. Karen |
