Remembrance Quilt....it's about a dog

Toby was a special guy. Since it's been a year since he left us, I wanted to make a memory quilt. He was my daughter's dog, but he really loved his grandma too.

That is beautiful, a lovely remembrance. Very interesting the way you did the frames.
Aww, so cute! They really do touch our hearts forever, don't they?
What a wonderful memory. It is sure to be treasured forever. Love everything about it.

Such a great memory quilt! :)

What a cool quilt. I should make one for DH -- he took many, many picts of our Pepper (my avatar) who left us several years ago. Unfortunately, I still can't even look at her pictures without crying......

Very nicely done. I made this one for my Westie name Macbeth.
Thank you everyone. It was actually quite cathartic to work on the quilt and talk to Toby. MANIACQUILTER2--what a nice remembrance too
What a unique idea. Very nice.
Awwwwwwwww what a sweet remembrance!
A wonderful tribute to a member your family. Your quilt is a gift of love and memories.
Beautiful quilt that conveys a story of love.
What a lovely tribute to Toby.
What a fantastic way to show all the memories, it lovely.

OMG It's beautiful and touching...I have tears in my eyes as we just lost our beloved Paige in April and I was thinking of doing this very thing....just not yet as it hurts to much....I made a slide show of her.....
What size did you make the picture blocks
Oh how nice!!!
I tried to do the photos 5x5" using Photoshop. Some are a little rectangular for some reason. Then I used white Kona to frame them.
Toby was a cutie! The quilt is beautiful. I like the quilting on it.
What a great quilt for a precious friend!

I did one for my DH best friend who never married. His dog Sabastian ("Sabby") was his child. It gives you comfort when sewing this one together. This gives you a wonderful treasure to celebrate your wonderful dogs life. Good job.
Aw that's so sweet! Love how your wavy lines made each look like a picture frame and the lettering for his name is perfect. Great job!
Sweet memories. Your excellent work really honors this fur baby.
Your quilt is a touching tribute to an animal that brought you happiness without the drama that comes sometimes in our human relationships. We have had dogs in the past that brought us a lot of happiness and parting with them was hard. I know your quilt will bring you comfort as you think of your pet.
What a wonderful memory you have made. I have a grand dog that looks just like him. Her name is Nala.
Beautiful tribute. I have always wanted to do a portrait quilt of our deceased Goldens. We have two young ones now that are just as special. What kind of printer did you use and did you use Printed Treasures? Your photos came out so clear and crisp. I hate our current printer and have heard an Epson ink jet are the better choice. Your opinion please.
I can't barely look at the picture of my Missy who passed last October. So sorry for your loss.
That is a treasured quilt. How we love our pets.
Wonderful treasure - hopefully memories will be warm and soft as this quilt
Thank you again everyone for the kind words. It really helped my sadness by working on the quilt. Yes I used Printed Treasures. We have an HP 3-in1 inkjet printer, an older one. I used Photoshop to enhance and/or crop the photos first. And I put new ink in the printer too.
