Borntoquilt sent this quilt to me for long arming..I felt like the design needed to be something circular because of the squares. This quilt is for her 8 year old granddaughter..the piecing is fabulous..no problems whatsoever and I enjoyed quilting ths quilt very much.

The pictures aren't great because it is late and I couldn't lay out the quilt..it will be shipped back first thing in the morning! I hope you all like it especially Kennie!

i am not normally a big fan of these fabrics but this is beautiful. the quilting sets off the squares very nicely. kudos to both the top maker and the quilter.

Absolutely beautiful, the retro fabrics remind me of quilts my grandmother use to make.

I just have to tell everyone, my mom did such an outstanding job on this quilt. My daughter is going to LOVE it. Thanks Charisma for doing such a beautiful job on it as well. I love the circular flowers! I can't wait to see this quilt in person. We re-painted my daughters room her favorite color to match this quilt. LOL! Gray - lighter on the top half and darker on the bottom half, separated by a white chair rail. Soooo proud of my Mom. WOW!!

BizzieLizzie 12-09-2010 10:30 AM

lovely!

Great quilting that really enhances the design of the quilt! I'm sure she will be very pleased!

borntoquilt 12-10-2010 09:18 AM

I have praised Charismah on P.M. but would like to publically do so! She did a beautiful job and I haven't even SEEN it yet. Just the pics like all of you! I am hoping *fingers double crossed* that the quilt arrives today in the mail. I am sewwwww excited to see it. I used 100% cotton batting so when it is washed will shrink up and give it that heirloom looking to go with the 1930's reproduction fabrics. Pattern is "Fresh Linens", out of the book "Let the good times roll" by Heather Peterson. Thanks for all your kind words! They mean a lot. Merry Christmas to all!

BizzieLizzie 12-10-2010 10:44 AM

You both did a wonderful job! The quilt pattern really works with the fabrics. The circles were a good choice to balance the squares. Nice all around!
