lOVE YOUR LOG CABIN. I HAVE MATERIAL READY FOR A LOG CABIN BUT HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO ACTUALLY DECIDE IF I SHOULD DO IT BY FOUNDATION PIECING AS I WOULD LIKE TO DO TRY THAT OUT AND KEEP ALL THE BLOCKS EVEN. DID YOU CUT YOUR STRIPS AND/OR HAVE YOU MADE A LOG CABIN USING A FOUNDATION BEFORE?? NICE COLOUR EFFECT YOU MANAGED.

A well-deserved win, your work is beautiful. I am sure the recipient will treat it with much love and respect. Beautiful work,

What a touching story that you have to go with this quilt. It is a well deserved ribbon. Such a lot of work to make it. Very nice indeed!

Congrats! and Very pretty quilt.

Thank you for saying. I've done them both ways. I prefer paper pieced --- no matter how careful you are, regular piecing can still come out slightly different in size block to block. This quilt is paper pieced using 1" finished logs. It was a very random selection. Whatever I grabbed went next, except I wouldn't put the same fabric next to itself. This is a good one to get used to paper piecing. Linda Causee has a few books of patterns that are really nice. Have fun with it!

I have pictures of it, both under construction and hanging with the award, so that's really enough. I have plans to applique the ribbon to a background and then frame it and hang it in my sewing room. Thank you for your kind words

Your quilt is beyond belief! You should indeed be proud!!!
And what a remarkable feat for your friend. Here's to good health.

Could you make a few of the log cabin blocks to use as the background when you frame that ribbon?

Wow, Congratulations!!!!
