A Ribbon Stripe plus a large scale floral equals "I really like this"

sometimes, two rogue fabrics will have a chance meeting from the separate bins and shelves of my stash, and when they make a great pair, the gears start turning in my head.
Such is the case with this Hoffman floral (a thrift store treasure find, by the way) and this Marcus stripe, bought only because a quilt shop was having a great sale and the stripes are always on the sale rack. I made 'chevron' units with the striped fabric and framed the floral. Added some four-patch units, and voila! This just needs the wide floral border sewn on, and I will take the time to miter it. have a good evening. |
I love the floral

I really like the chevrons. What a good idea to make them off the corner. Still looks like a square but no worries in making the corners match. Wonderful job!
