Hello everyone.
Here are the pics from our experience at Mary Jo's in NC. It was huge, fabric for as far as you could see. It is an old grocery store, set up warehouse style. They were busy the whole time we were there. They tear the fabric instead of cutting it which is fine, but it sure got my DH's attention as he had never seen that done before! Prices were not bad. Less than the LQS. First group of pics is of the store and the different areas. Then some close ups of some of the fabric and how they have it displayed. (I did like the way they had it displayed - you could touch, it and hold it out to see it without take the bolt out of place.) Last will be the pics of what I actually bought. Please wait for all to be posted. O.K. Now you can look. Enjoy and don't drool too much. Notions and Buttons Fruits and veges Santa panel and coordinating for backing and binding and last small piece - I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MORE OF THIS IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE I CAN GET IT Outside entrance and sign First look on inside as you enter the store Notions area Patterns area Drapery fabric by the roll Cival war fabrics and more Trims area what I bought more to come and more |

Looks like a great store! Please tell me the name of the fabric on your first pic of your purchases, it's the blue design in the bottom right hand corner, absolutely fabulous, I must have some. Do they sell on-line?

That is quite the store. I was there in April for the 1st time. I'll know what to expect next time I go and I'll be more prepared (I'll go alone) to spend the day. All sewers should get to go there at least once. I would really like to win a shopping spree to that store. Glad you got to go. I went to their online store yesterday and it has very limited offerings, not very good representation of what is available at the store. I liked that the fabric is sorted by theme. Oriental, black/white, fish, farm animals, African, etc...
