this is a Rocket Quilt, designed by my 6 years old nephew in Poland.
When he asked me to make a quilt with a rocket theme I could not find anything that I liked on the web and when I told him that, he decided to design it himself.
Thanks to the wonderful Quilting Shop in my town and the beautiful fabrics that they had I was able to make the quilt very close to what he asked for.
He loves it!

I think you need get that drawing onto fabric and incorporate it as a label on the back of the quilt! It is awesome and it would be great to have it with the quilt forever.

thank you, copy of his drawing is on the back of the quilt, together with the year it was made.

mtkoldra 12-01-2009 04:42 AM

actually, the nice ladies at my quilting store did just that, they printed his drawing on to the fabric and it made a nice label for the back of the quilt.

I am new to this forum, which magazine you are thinking about?

MollieSue 12-01-2009 10:59 AM

I'm not sure which magazine, Mtkoldra, but it seems like I've seen before where a reader submits a quilt & pattern. Maybe someone else here will know!
:)

Sheree from Chicago 12-01-2009 04:14 PM
