Its actually pretty big - it IS a twin though! About 60 inches wide and 100 long.

I like my quilts to cover the bed and hang down a good bit, and have a bit to hang down at the bottom and fold over the pillows....!!

Your quilt is a beauty. The color combination makes it pop out.A little to fast for my speed these days.I've slowed down to much as I've aged.Course my DH says I spend to much time thinking things to death before I get started.

Jois - here is the Roman stripe quilt close up - think you can see what you are after here.

Sorry I couldn't work out how to attach it to a PM!!!

Thank you for bringing this up to the top for me. How did I miss it in the first place?

Hung at an angle in your ID photo I couldn't figure out the color set up of the light green and now that I see the quilt hung up with clothes pins I understand.

Gee, colors and pattern go together nicely and that extra line of purple really sets it off. Great job! Quilting looks good, too!

Thank you,
Jois

Thanks Jois

I really loved this and it made up so fast using strips and cutting them with the 45 degee angle on my ruler!!

I volunteered to make a quilt for charity this week (you may have seen my post!!)I plan to do this again as it WAS so fast!

I really enjoyed the FMQ it was only my second quit top - but I have been doing FM embroidery for years so its not really that different - just a lot bigger!!!

I thought the embroidery interesting but I'm not at all familiar with it - magazine photo here or there might be the upper limit of my experience. I thought the butterfly idea was a good one. I think a lot! I thought I saw some ads that gave me the impression there were machines that could do embroidery that would be used instead of quilting? but I'm not too sure of that. What I saw of your machine quilting looked great to me!

This quilt pattern should be all purpose depending on color and size. I look for things that would be "manly" without being Army Green or Navy Navy or how about John Deer farm equipment! I think this could be very much enjoyed by a male, but looks fem in your photo and the butterflies would be the finishing touch.

Looked so good that I ordered the quick quilts book (used) from Amazon.com.

I didn't know what I was doing when I started quilting but I must have a little sort of bean counter in my head and made a page or two in a 3 ring bind for almost every quilt and other thing I've made that is quilty...bibs, pot holders, hand towels with a quilt-type block on top (so it could be tied to an oven handle or something) and stuck a finished photo in there, too. Hope you are doing something like that, too. It's fun to look back and see what you did and didn't do!

Thanks for the picture and ideas!
Jois
