I used one layer of insul-bright and one layer of warm and natural (prewashed)

I had trouble with the layers sliding around while I was quilting it. After a couple of them, I only cut the top to size and everything else larger and trimmed it to the top round after quilting it.

I wanted to avoid the "center of the pie" intersection in the middle, so that's why it's quilted the way it is.

I'm very proud of my binding join. I even have trouble finding it :)

This one is 7 inches in diameter. It's a comfortable size for me, but I have small hands.

(Looks like this is a case of "me too" that was such an issue on GCC) Oh, well.
It works well as far as being able to handle hot pans.

What actually was great to work with was the table protector stuff after I washed it - I was ASTOUNDED at how much it shrunk - I "lost" at least a third of the original area.

I love it! How did you do the "join" any way? It looks perfect!!!

Hmmm I have never made pot holders. Too cute!

love it. spray fusible might help the moving while quilting. just a bit would do the trick.

well I just couldn't give up till I found it but you're right, it does look perfect, I think the way you quilted it is the best way it could have been done, love it.

First, your potholder is wonderful!!! Round has to be harder to do. It truly is very cute. Plus you don't have the corners getting in your way while using it.

Second, when you say "table protector stuff'" are you talking about the insul-bright?
