From there, it was a lot of cutting and placing fabric here and there.
I am in the process of writing a book about it with a goal to have it finished and copyrighted this year.

Dear Girl,
I hope you will let us know when the book is ready and how we can obtain it. I'm at the top of the list of buyers! Are you self-publishing?

Most likely, I will be self-publishing. I received some really good advice from Judy Martin about how and why to self-publish, so we'll see where it takes me. :)

I am impressed with your photo re-creation in the centre panel, and even more so when I read that you taught yourself to do it! Let me know when your book comes out,
Dawn. I would be very interested! thnx...

What a wonderful memory in fabric. It will last a lifetime and you child will cherish the time 'in quilt' for years to come. Thank you for showing.

making a panel from the picture is really great! the entire quilt is terrific. do you have a fabric that has small snowflakes for the last border? that way it can be narrow.

grannyoquilting 05-27-2011 06:09 AM

Well you have my vote!!! I love it, you did an awsome job on the photo part especially. WOW!!!!!

I would go with the medium light blue in the first border. Just a sliver so you know it's there.

Love the mittens with the string. I used to have those. Brings back some memories.
