Eddie needs a happy face. He is adorable and will be loved by your friend. I think you did a wonderful job!

I think he is TOOOO cute! He's perfect just as he is....er, after you give him his tail, that is...

0tis 06-06-2012 05:26 AM

He doesn't look sad to me at all - he needs a happy face.

darlenedowns 06-06-2012 05:28 AM

How adorable!!!!! Oh now I get it , he's sad cause you forgot his tail!!! What a cute ideal

Pennyquilter88 06-06-2012 05:56 AM

He looks happy to me too. You are too hard on yourself. It looks like a nice job of sewing a hard subject.

CarrieC 06-06-2012 06:02 AM

This is too cute! It will bring a smile to your friend's face. I think you're being WAY too hard on yourself!!!

And I vote HAPPY! Smiling in spite of whatever else!!!!!

bjiwami 06-06-2012 06:14 AM

Eddie is happy 'cuz he doesn't know he's not perfect! As it should be! Happy face...definitely!!!

MrsM 06-06-2012 06:20 AM

If he is sad it is because he is leaving you. He is very cute. I think you did a great job.

Yeah, after all his woes, poor Eddie shouldn't have to endure being stuck with pins all the time! :-) He is an adorable pachyderm with such personality.

nativetexan 06-06-2012 06:33 AM

Occupuncture for Eddie!!! it's good for him. He's awfully cute!!

Mariposa 06-06-2012 06:36 AM

I'd make Eddie a happy elephant! And perhaps change his name to Edith Ann or something, since the flowery fabric...............

yngldy 06-06-2012 08:35 AM

I can't see the mistakes you say are there. I think he is really cute! Anyway, aren't all of us lopsided somehow? One foot/hand/eye, etc bigger than the other, or one eyebrow turns one way, one corner of lip turned upward?

icon17 06-06-2012 08:39 AM

Eddie looks like a very good little Elephant to me!

delideb64 06-06-2012 08:40 AM

he's a cutie - not sad at all -

rosiewell 06-06-2012 08:48 AM

He's so cute - love him, well done

mdall 06-06-2012 09:48 AM

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, Eddie is coming along nice. Actually I finished him I thought, but after reading some of the suggestions on here I think I may change a couple of things. Eddie is looking better and now is not so sad. except for where his maker mey have stuffed him so much and needed a couple of his seems mended.LOL Anyway, I will post a pic of him when he is completley done and for those of you that have asked for pattern I will post the link then.

Peggy Jeanne 06-06-2012 10:55 AM

I really like him, good job!

Loesalexandra 06-06-2012 10:59 AM

That's one happy elephant to me!

NJ Quilter 06-06-2012 11:26 AM

I agree he's a cutie! I think you did a GREAT job! Some yarn or a ribbon tail maybe? And a very happy face.

cindy4857 06-06-2012 11:51 AM

happy face please eddie is cute. For a tail I would braid some dmc floss or cotton yarn and leave strands at the end for hair. stitch it on and wallah a eli's tail. Maybe draw on some eyes? but i think he is adorably loveable.

gramadona 06-06-2012 12:10 PM

Too cute!!!

BrendaK 06-06-2012 12:17 PM

You did a super job. You know that elephants are very loyal and they are all for family. I collect elephants and I would love Eddie to join our family. I think he is beautiful (beauty is in the eye of the beholder).. I also would love to have the pattern. I would try to twek his trunk to go up (as that means good luck). Look forward to seeing his finished transformation and the link to the pattern. Thanks for sharing. BrendaK

PS: Smile for sure. He is happy to be here.

charismah 06-06-2012 12:18 PM

Okay, Im done with all the embellishments. For all of those that helped with your suggestions. Thank you. After further examination by the local zoologist it turns out that Eddie is actuall an Edna. Okay so I didnt notice that the fabric I used wasnt exactly for a boy.LOL So here she is Edna. For all of you who asked about the pattern here is the link. http://www.craftpassion.com/wp-conte...ant-family.jpg

Judith1005 06-06-2012 02:32 PM

aw, he's so cute. Give him a sweet little happy face. He's happy to be gifted to a friend you think so much about.

Doll, stuffed animal construction.....very different then quilting. Some of my first attempts and I've only had a couple did not look as cute as your little elephant. :) And others are a work in progress. :)

Ooops, I missed the finish. Thanks for the website. I love their patterns over there.

PS, forgetting the tail was a happy accident. I LOVE the tail you gave Edna. :)

psquared52 06-06-2012 02:36 PM

I think he is just darling! Your friend will be delighted!! And he deserves a smile!

sparkys_mom 06-06-2012 03:54 PM

You posted a link to the pic of the elephant, for those who can't figure out how to get to the pattern from there, here it is http://www.craftpassion.com/2012/03/...g-pattern.html the pdf itself is on page 2.
