Karen I love the denim. I'm glad you posted this, as I'm looking at making a "shirt quilt" and I would have never thought about denim fabric. I know how I'm doing mine now.

I just went back to the first of this, and studied your blocks and layout. I really looked at your colors. For a beginner you're pretty good at picking out just the great colors and putting them at just the right places. That's a skill it takes some of us years to master. To my mind, to make a good scrappy is a real skill and it looks as if you've got it. I really do like the quilt. I don't think you could do better. Keep at it. And please post a picture of it when you've finished.

Only on page one of comments, but decided to toss mine in too - just in case you haven't gotten the message. The denim sashing pulls it all together and looks great. Very masculine - bettcha everyone is right and your son will really like it. Keep going.
