I fell in love with this project the second I laid eyes on it. My DH is an Army Veteran so this really hit home for me. The quilt is finished but I love this photo of it cascading off of the long arm machine so I just used this photo. Enjoy!

This is a Moda Fabric pattern and fabric collection. The pattern name is the wording on the quilt. The soldier applique was easy! Pattern includes the traceable image. I was curious about this, too, but it really was fun! IF you want to buy the entire project kit, PM me and i will tell you where you can order it. I did buy the kit ( flag portion only) from a brick and mortar shop near me and then I added the additional fabric to make the entire project.

Nice quilt! Is that a cut out siloette? Or was it printed and appliqued? How did you do that?

callen 10-01-2015 04:08 AM

What a wonderful tribute to our brave men & women of our armed forces.

Peggyinno 10-01-2015 04:32 AM

I love this quilt! My DH is retired Air Force and a Vietnam Vet, so this really hits home with me! Great job! Did you purchase this pattern or is it your own creation?

You trace the image onto fusible and iron to the fabric then iron as an applique . I really was easy!
