This pattern is fatty fatty two by four.

I made 3 blankets using this pattern and most people can't tell they are looking at the same thing!

The first one is the one I made for my nephew. His requirements were blue and white. I don't care of one of the blues but such is life and he loves it.

The second one was for my graduate assistant who graduated in May. 98% of this blanket was done in small floral print fat quarters that I worked diligently to collect. The other 2% is a very small heart print. It is one of my favorite quilts.

The third was for a friend of my husbands. She is from Indonesia so I choose Island Batiks. I quilted it by using mother of pearl type buttons. I thought they finished the quilt nicely.

That's amazing. Very nice work on each of the three and I would not have known it was the same pattern. Nice./Regards, Dorothy

Love them all!!

I really like the blue one! It has a pixelated "digitized" look! I may have to use that idea for a quilt for my son! Really, really like it! They all are very pretty quilts! Thanks for posting the pictures.

CarrieAnne 06-30-2010 06:04 PM

Nice quilts!

CarrieAnne 06-30-2010 06:04 PM

Nice quilts!

mom-6 06-30-2010 06:08 PM

It always amazes me how totally different color and placement makes the same design look.

nanabirdmo 06-30-2010 06:12 PM

Such interesting quilts. Hard to believe they are made with the same block. Love it.

CarrieAnne 06-30-2010 06:19 PM

my index finger is tired from scrolling back and forth between the three quilts. Wonderful, did you plan out the blue one or did it just fall off the tree that way. I love the color choices for all three of the,

MissM 06-30-2010 07:34 PM

Love them all

annieshane 06-30-2010 07:38 PM

My feeble brain is having a hard time understanding that all 3 quilts use the same design, just varying fabric colors. That blue and white is especially remarkable. What is that design? Please share.

sharon b 06-30-2010 07:38 PM

Boy.. you are correct I would never have believed they were all the same pattern  Amazing isn't it

Nice job

watson's mom 06-30-2010 08:08 PM

Beautiful. Who would have guessed that they are all the same quilt pattern. All very nice but the blue is very striking. Love the shade of it.

littlehud 06-30-2010 08:41 PM

I never would have guessed they were the same pattern. What a difference.

I find it fascinating how much different a pattern can look with different material and color!

You did a very nice job! The blue one is my favorite also.

Thanks for sharing!

Very nice and how great each quilt looks so totally different.

katsewnsew 07-01-2010 04:05 AM

All are great looking! The blue and white looks sorta like a technical-computer type thingy! Really cool!

dsb38327 07-01-2010 04:08 AM

I had to come back and look again. It is amazing and all the possibilities seem endless. /Regards, Dorothy

Nice colors!

raptureready 07-01-2010 05:12 AM

Love them all but especially the blue and white. Reminded me that I want to make a Tetris quilt. No, as far as I know there's no pattern for a Tetris quilt but it wouldn't be that hard to make one.

annieshane -- it looks like it's just a basic four patch with different color variations. For the blue one, there appears to be 4:
blue blue
white blue

white white
blue white

white white
blue blue

white blue
blue white

champagnebubbles 07-01-2010 05:31 AM

The colors made that much difference--Wow

lol - I hope your finger recovers quickly :) I did try to manipulate the blue one a bit but in the end, gave up and let it do what it wanted.
